Nexus 5548 upgrade to 7.1 shows lots of discards on interfaces

Hi,

We have a pair of Nexus 5548 switches running on nxos 7.0 release for a while now and all the interfaces have been 0 errors or discards. We recently updated to 7.1 release and all of the busier interfaces on the switch show mass amount of discards.

Has anyone run into something similar ?

Open a case with Cisco TAC it seems software bug.

Already done, working on it with them, but they didn't mention anything about a software bug

Hi David,

We are experiencing similar behavior after upgrading to 7.1(3)N1(2) in a 5548, but in our case is only in a single port, and it seems not related with load, since that port is not particularly loaded. 

Please keep us posted with your findings.

Hi Arsys, since adding the extra links to busy ports our discards dropped, however in my opinion they are still quite high. I'm still working with Cisco on it.
