Nexus 5K VPC with just secondary up with fex all down issue

Hi.

We have two Nexus 5K in vPC mode with 2 2248Fex uplinked to both 5K and configued as vpc there as well.

Recently we had power outage and pair of Nexus 5k that was in vPC configuration both rebooted.

For some reason, the primary never came back up while the secondary came up fine.

When running the "show vpc role" showed the secondary as "not established" and the fex uplinks were down.

I would like to find out if there is any command under vpc to bring up fex ports even the vPC pair is not yet established possibly to prevent this from happening again.

Thank you

Hi,

For VPC role not established on secondary ,could be for the following reason.

When keepalives fail to reach the peer switches, role election does not proceed and the
primary or secondary role is not established on either vPC peer switch and all vPC
interfaces are kept down on both switches.
