Nexus 7000 Prioirty Queue Starvation

Hi,

I am more familiar with configuring QoS on routers where it usually possible to limit the bandwidth on a priority queue to prevent it from starving the other no pri-queues.

This max-bandwidth or policing feature doesn't seem to be available on the Nexus 7000 platform (or most switches for that matter).

Do we still need to limit the usage of the priority queue on switching platforms and if not, why not?

If we do need to, how would this be done on the Nexus 7000 for example?

Thanks Andrew,

I had actually read those.  I guess my question is more generic though.  Why don't we need/have the ability to prevent non-priority queue starvation on most switching platforms?  It seems to be a fairly strong recommendation on routing platforms.
