Nexus 7000 QoS F1 module

I want to prioritize egress voice traffic across a trunk terminated on an F1 module,  N7K-F132XP-15. I am unsure about the setup; according to the "show interface capabilities" F1 interfaces support 8 egress queues, while the Nexus QoS documentation provides configuration referencing 4 queues. In addition, I am not clear about the relevance of network-qos on F1 queueing setup. I would appreciate any insight and configuration examples.

Hi,

Under network QOS, you configure priority flow control, MTU and type of queuing. This is system wide.

On the interface, you can configure queuing policy inbound and outbound. F1 interfaces use COS value. You have 8 egress queues to service COS 0 to 7. You can configure the mimimum bandwidth of each queues on egress. The buffer allocated to each COS value is in the ingress policy because the output buffers are so small.

On top of that, you can add QOS(classification + marking) in inbound and outbound.
