Nexus 7k SUP2 "Show Mac Address-table" doesnt display dynamic MACs

Hi all,

I am currently logged in to a VDC on a 7009 nexus switch. I have vdc-admin role. When I enter "show mac address-table" only the supervisor MAC in each VLAN is displayed and no dynamically learned MACs are displayed.

Is this right?

I was expecting to see dynamic MACs for this particular VDC.

Thanks!

Mario

Hi

its worth mentioning that we are running FabricPath on this switch.

I can get dynamic MACs if I specify a specific module... but the learned interface for each MAC is not the traditional "ethx/x"...

xxxxxx# show mac address-table 4
Legend:
        * - primary entry, G - Gateway MAC, (R) - Routed MAC, (d) - dec
        Age - seconds since last seen,,+ - primary entry using vPC Peer-Link
        (T) - True, (F) - False, h - hex, d - decimal

VDC = 3

  FE  VLAN/BD MAC Address    Type     Age   Secure  NTFY    Ports
-----+------+-------------+--------+------+------+------+---------------
G  0    -   xxxx.xxxx.xxxx   static    -       F     F    sup-eth1    (R)
   0     8  yyyy.yyyy.yyyy  dynamic 30         F     F    gpc1:3564
   0    28  zzzz.zzzz.zzzz  dynamic 30         F     F    gpc1:2001

Even more interesting is this...

xxxxxx# show mac address-table count
MAC Entries for all vlans :
Dynamic Address Count:                    0
Overlay Address Count:                    0
Static Address (User-defined) Count:       0
Secure Address Count:                      0

We are running NX-OS 6.2(8a) could we be hitting a bug here?
