Hi, I've been using, testing and updating Nexus switches for a few years now but this problem has me stumped.
I have several N9K-C9232Cs. Plan is to do a basic functionalty test, update them and deploy.
They are currently running NXOS 9.3.9 and are in very good cosmetic condition.
All seems fine until I get to port testing. The only config is "no shut" to all the ports and then I loopback them with a DAC cable.
Ports 1 - 6 and 27 -32 see the cable but don't bring the link up. Ports 7 - 26 bring the link up no problem.
I've compared the "show interface" for the ports and they all seem to have the same characteristics.
This problem / feature isn't confined to 1 switch. I have several.
I realise this an uncommon switch and I have no support coverage on it. Hoping sombody here has seen similar and can point me in the right direction.
Kind regards
Stuart

auto-duplex, auto-speed, media type is 10G
32-port 40/100G QSFP28 ports and 2-port 1/10G SFP+ ports
there is something wrong I think in Speed.
try hardcode for one port and see if it work.

Hi, thanks for the advise, you are correct. I set the port speeds to 40000 matching the DAC cable and we have a link.
Most appreciated.
Kind regards
Stuart
