Nexus Queries

Hi,

    I have following Queries in the Nexus. Please help me with information.

•1.       M1, M2 & F2 cards in N7K, which one will be used for Routing & Switching?

•2.       vPC primary Nexus 7K & vPC secondary Nexus 5K. It will support? & why?

•3.       Port-channel between N7K & N2K mandatory to communicate hosts connected  to N2Ks?

•4.       By default why VTP mode is Transparent in Nexus Switches? But in IOS by default Server mode.

2nd question: In vPC environment, vPC Primary & vPC Secondary. Question is vPC primary switch is Nexus 7K & Secondary vPC is Nexus 5K. Is vPC will form ? and why ?

When configuring a single sided vPC both switches must be the same model, ie a pair of N5Ks or a pair of N7Ks. With vPC each switch retains its own control plane and data plane. Control messages and data frames flow between the active and standby switches via the peer link.

With double sided vPC you can have a pair of N5Ks and a pair of N7Ks. See the link below for details:
