hi!
Which device are you using? Probably all the ports are L3 ports and not switchports. And since you dont have ip on these ports, you might be seeing the "no ip address" on the ports.
try making them into switchports ( L2 ports) by issuing the "switchoprt" command in interface config mode.

Hi,
This is a 2950 switch.
Each port is joined to a VLAN. ( switchport access vlan # )
The VLANs are created on a Cisco Switch 4506.
still i am seeing these no ip address on each ports !

hi!
In that case it would just be some redundant config and wont be active. I dont think it will affect in any way.

Hi,
Thanks for your replies.
I tried the default interface fe 0/x on a port, it reset the port to default but this line : no ip address remained !!
i can not understand why it is there ! how it can be removed, from where it came !
so no way to just erase this line ?

thats the default config and it would remain there. It shouldnt affect anything and so there is no need for you to worry about it.
