NTP losses syncronization

Hello everyone,

I have a bit of a strange issue. I have a router that looses syncrnozation with NTP. This is the only router that I'm aware of that has this issue. Below is the output that I see when this happens.

ROUTERNAME#sho ntp associations

  address         ref clock       st   when   poll reach  delay  offset   disp

x~127.127.1.1     .LOCL.           2      1     16   377  0.000   0.000  0.250

x~10.1.3.29       139.78.135.14    2     35     64   377  0.000 21022.8  4.177

* sys.peer, # selected, + candidate, - outlyer, x falseticker, ~ configured

If I remove the ntp statement for the 10.1.3.29 server, and put it back in the config, everything syncs right up. Can someone suggest how I should go about troubleshooting this?

Thanks

Would I be correct in assuming that in this router configuration is specified ntp master? And that there is also an ntp server command pointing toward 10.1.3.29?

I would suggest that you start by removing the ntp master command. Try this and let us know if the behavior changes.
