Numbering when removing a switch from a stack

Hi, just a simple question but want to double check before doing this for the first time.

We have a stack of five 3650 switches (as per below) and want to remove the 2nd switch (TsStck-3650-02). Question is, how will this affect the remaining stack in terms of numbering and priority? Many thanks.

TsStck-3650-01      -   priority 1

TsStck-3650-02      -  priority 14

TsStck-3650-03      -  priority 13

TsStck-3650-04      -  priority 12

TsStck-3650-05      -  priority 11

Hi @Mottok

Neither numbering nor priority should be affected. Assuming that switch 2 is the active one, then the standby switch would take on the active role.

Thanks very much for your quick reply. I can't view that link for some reason so to confirm, when I remove the switch then issue the "no switch xx provision command", will the stack look like below? Many thanks.

TsStck-3650-01 - priority 1
TsStck-3650-03 - priority 13 (Now Active)
TsStck-3650-04 - priority 12
TsStck-3650-05 - priority 11

Hi @Mottok

Indeed, the switch with the second highest priority(actual standby) should take the role of active.
In any case, take into account those indicated in the link:10F0FCA0-939B-4DA1-89C3-3B2212E0F478.png
