NX-OSv does NOT have SNMP ARP value

I currently use the CML2.0 and add a NX-OSv node. It's version is 7.3(0).D1(1).

After configuring the snmp-server community string for snmpv1 v2c, IP Address and "no shut" the interface, then connecting it to the ext-conn which is bridge type.

The "show ip arp" did show output of one entry. However, the snmpwalk output for collecting ARP table shows "No Such Object" or "No Such Instance": CiscoInetNetToMediaEntry , IpNetToPhysicalEntry , IpNetToMediaEntry are commonly used to query the ARP in other devices, but why NX-OSv does not support it? See below snmpwalk output:

snmpwalk -v 2c -c public 192.168.168.137 1.3.6.1.2.1.4.34.1.3

iso.3.6.1.2.1.4.34.1.3 = No Such Object available on this agent at this OID

snmpwalk -v 2c -c public 192.168.168.137 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.10.86.1.1.2.1.3 iso.3.6.1.4.1.9.10.86.1.1.2.1.3 = No Such Object available on this agent at this OID

snmpwalk -v 2c -c public 192.168.168.137 1.3.6.1.2.1.4.20.1.1

iso.3.6.1.2.1.4.20.1.1 = No Such Instance currently exists at this OID

snmpwalk -v 2c -c public 192.168.168.137 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.10.86.1.1.3.1.3 iso.3.6.1.4.1.9.10.86.1.1.3.1.3 = No Such Object available on this agent at this OID

snmpwalk -v 2c -c public 192.168.168.137 1.3.6.1.2.1.4.35.1.4

iso.3.6.1.2.1.4.35.1.4 = No Such Object available on this agent at this OID

snmpwalk -v 2c -c public 192.168.168.137 1.3.6.1.2.1.4.22.1.2

iso.3.6.1.2.1.4.22.1.2 = No Such Instance currently exists at this OID

Does anyone know if this problem is the known issue in NX-OSv OR what should I configure to overcome this problem?

Does it also happens in physical NX-OS 7000?

Thanks and regards,

Anh Quach

the OID is correct - OID 1.3.6.1.2.1.4.20

to check snmp working before you want to desired results?

snmpwalk -v 2c -c public 192.168.168.137  <<- is this snmpwalk working before you go further?

Thanks balaji.bandi for your response.

I did check the snmpwalk for sysDescr OID and it works. See my update  below:

snmpwalk -v 2c -c public 192.168.168.137 1.3.6.1.2.1.1.1
iso.3.6.1.2.1.1.1.0 = STRING: "Cisco NX-OS(tm) titanium, Software (titanium-d1), Version 7.3(0)D1(1), RELEASE SOFTWARE Copyright (c) 2002-2013, 2015 by Cisco Systems, Inc. Compiled 1/11/2016 16:00:00"

Do you have the virtual NX-OS or physical NX-OS in your lab to verify if this problem also occurs or not?

Thanks and regards

i will test over weekend and let you know on my CML or my Virtual environment.
