OSPF and redistribute connected subnets.

Hello.

I’m using a Catalyst with a hybrid configuration. MSFC3 is running 12.2.

I need to redistribute connected, one vlan has a secondary IP address (10.10.10.1/24), so I’m trying to redistribute connected with OSPF using this

router ospf 100

 redistribute connected subnets

With debugging activated, debug ip ospf lsa-generation, I use the clear command to generate LSA again.

IOS#clear ip route *

IOS#

Sep 26 11:48:46.948: OSPF: Generate external LSA 10.10.1.0, mask 255.255.255.0, type 5, age 0, metric 20, tag 0, metric-type 2, seq

0x80000001

Sep 26 11:48:52.956: OSPF: Start redist-scanning

Sep 26 11:48:52.956: OSPF: Scan the RIB for both redistribution and translation

Sep 26 11:48:52.960: OSPF: End scanning, Elapsed time 4ms

IOS#

On neighbors, a route to 10.10.1.0 appears but after some seconds disappears.

I don’t understand why!

Any ideas?

I try with a route-map without success.

Thanks.

Regards.

Andrea

If we had more information to work with we might be able to give you better answers. To start with can you provide the interface configuration and the OSPF configuration? Also perhaps the output of show ip ospf interface?

Hello.

I appreciate your suggestions.

My mistake is a network entry on OSPF process, so primary IP address is into area 0 and secondary is into another area.

Many many thanks for your time.

Regards.

Hi,

Are you redistributing to a NSSA area?

if not make it a NSSA area and test again
