Packet drops in a pattern

Hi All,

I have a CPE router connecting to Fex2k and when i try to ping peer IP's of each other i see ping drops in a pattern and when i increase the packet size i see more drops but again in a pattern.

Any particular reason this i happening and will this impact the traffic? Please suggest.

Hi,

Yes, it will impact the traffic, as you have about 8% packet drop.

The issue needs to be investigated.

But when i ping from other location router to the same IP, I dont see any drops ( Goes on same segment). If its network issue or cabling issue then basically from any location i ping to that IP i should see drops right?
