Hiya, so I have a problem with my network. the devices are not on the same network and I have used static for the server and dhcp for the rest of the devices however it seems to be always on the wrong network or subnet my gateway is 192.168.1.1 and my server is 192.168.1.2 so that should be uniform for all devices so not sure why its not the case. I'm not sure how to upload my .pkt file. I using packet tracer on Mac. pls help, thank you

hello, this is my file. I;m trying to configure the computer pc0 however it keeps giving me an odd IP address. the server has all the right information and is static so I don't know where the pc ip address is coming from. everything except my server is dhcp but for some reason the dhcp is giving the wrong ip address out

Thank you for the additional information.

The config looks correct but if your PC is on DHCP and its getting an address then something is providing it. Is there any other device (maybe a router or other server) configured to hand out DHCP addresses? Additionally, please verify and show the interface config and  IP of the router that the PC is connected to. The IP should be the DG IP of 192.168.1.1.

hiya, thanks for getting back to me.

so my server is the only device giving out dhcp ( probably not configured it right)
