Packet Tracer problem with creating access-list

Well I am trying to learn access control list and I ran into this problem When I start to configure everything goes well until I try this:

           deny 192.168.11.0 0.0.0.255 log

Then I get an error with the log extension at the end of the line. I am running Packet Tracer 7.2.1.1.

Any takers, I am at my wits end.

Regards,

Benny

PT may not support "log" at the end of acl. can u try same line w/o log ?

PT is still good for CCNA level studies especially if u need a few more devices then u could afford renting or buying.

Update: PT does not do "log" in acl

My Friend,

Packet tracert is very good simulating some scenarios, but it has some disadvantages like this one that does not support the LOG command, you can use other emulators like GNS3, eve-ng, virl to work your projects.

Just place: deny 192.168.11.0 0.0.0.255

Eve-ng: https://www.eve-ng.net/

GNS3: https://www.gns3.com/

Virl: http://virl.cisco.com/

Hi,

As everyone is saying that PT is not supporting the "LOG" keyboard in the ACL configuration. I think it is better to practice on the real devices or VIRL or GNS3.

Thank you folks for your responses. That really bites because for GNS3, I need the actual IOS and I do not know anybody that has a license that can help me out. If you know of a different way to get anything I need for my training, I am all ears. Please hit me up here: pay6652br@gmail.com.

Thanx again.
