per vlan rate liniting on a 6500 sup 720

Implementing some per vlan rate limiting policing on a 6500 running 15.1-2sy4. Int the past I have found some limitations on this feature, ie... 500mbs max rate limiting on a physical interface.

Can anyone point me a the documentation that might outline the limitations or restrictions with this feature on the 6500 sup720 10gi hardware?

Here is PFC QoS documentation on 12.2SX but there is no any max rate limitation:
