ping with large packet size

I have seen sometimes that large packet sizes are used for testing link quality, packet loss etc...Is it a good way to test link?

Hello Kashish,

Yes, it can help you in some situations.

Mostly it is used to troubleshoot MTU. With df bit set in packet header you can find out what is the largest packet transported over particular link.
