Would be nice if you can include what is the IOS version this appliance is running.

If you console into the switch, can you see file(s) or direcoty called "crashinfo"?  If you do, can you post or attach these files?

Interpreter results,

%PLATFORM-1-CRASHED: [chars]
Explanation:This message indicate that the system is attempting to display the
failure message from a previous failure. [chars] is the description of the error
message.
Recommended Action: Use the exception crashinfo command to enable 'core dump'
on the switch that crashed. The core dump file will be able to a capture a more
detailed crash and have enough information to determine a root cause. Consider
an IOS upgrade.

Hi, to all.Can this problem exist because a flash memory card in the switch is damaged?

As previously stated we need the IOS version being run. Also there should be an crashinfo_ext directory in the flash. Please upload the extended crashinfo from this directory. The exception vector here was 700 so I would expect this to be a software problem.

Hi all,

i have 3560 with IOS image c3560-ipservicesk9-mz.122-50.SE5 and give me the same error, what could be is it IOS image issue or hardware failure.

Thanks

Can you please post the crash info files?

The IOS you are currently using, 12.2(35)SE5, is very, very old.

You may want to just upgrade the IOS to something more recent, like 12.2(55)SE9, and observe for any improvements.

Hi Steven,

I have decoded the traceback. If the switch has crashed only once then I would suggest to monitor the device and consider that due to transient issue which occured only once which we called it as soft parity error.

If the device crashed again go ahead and RMA the device.
