Hello,

which PoE 802.3af mode is the one used in Cisco Catalyst Switch?

Is it mode A or mode B?

Mode A is PoE using data pairs

mode B is PoE using spare pairs

Thanks for your answer

Hello, not sure if this will help, but here's the whitepaper on Cisco 802.3af PoE.

http://www.cisco.com/warp/public/cc/so/neso/bbssp/poeie_wp.pdf

Maybe page 3?

Hope this helps

Just tested with our Link Runner Pro on a Cat 3560G.  It uses the Orange and Green pairs so that would be data pairs.
