PoE power allocation for Cisco 2960CX-8PC-L

Hi,

The switch Cisco 2960CX-8PC-L supports PoE+, the total power budget is 124W, which means maximum 4 ports can support PoE+. Let's say the switch now has 2 PoE+ devices connected, does it mean the switch's PoE budget become 64W? Can we use the 64W for another 2 ports to power another 4 x PoE (15W) devices? Thank you!

yes maximum calculation done based on the usage, if the left over PoE can able to power up other device, yes your views are correct.

you can not exceed max as mentioned thats all.

First come, first serve until the power runs out -- that's how the switch "calculates" the power.
