Port-channel(To use only some interface on the link)

Hi All,

  Am trying to find a way,where only some members of the port-channel would be used until the load increase the active member capacity .If this is not possible,Also exploring a way to keep some member active and only other members become active when any or some of the active members link goes down .

Hello Anantha,

you can have some hot standly links when using LACP

LACP allows to configure priority on a port basis

The device with the best system-id like an STP root bridge decides what links are active and what are placed in hot-standby state

see the section about hot standby links, they are used for redundancy only when one of the primary links fail (no load  level trigger)
