HI we have C9300 switch. On front face, there are 24 gigabit ports and 8 tengigabit ports physically. But when show run, there are four more ports as below. Why we cannot see the four physical ports at front side of the switch? Thanks
Model Number : C9300-24P
interface FortyGigabitEthernet1/1/1
!
interface FortyGigabitEthernet1/1/2
!
interface TwentyFiveGigE1/1/1
!
interface TwentyFiveGigE1/1/2
I found this link which says based on module, it could have these kinds of ports. But in my switch, it shows there are 24 giga ports + 8 tengiga ports + 2 40giga ports + 2 25giga port, so total is 36ports while there are 32 physical ports. Question is what is connection relation between 36 and 32?

They are the optional optic ports.
If there are no optional optic ports installed, they are there so operators can be pre-program before the modular optical ports are installed.
