Power Cables for 4506 4200W Power Supply

I have two 4506's that are equipped with a secondary 4200 W power supply each. The power cables that they come with are NEMA 6-20P's. The outlets on our UPS's will only fit NEMA 5-15P and 5-20P. Is it alright to create an adapter to change the 6-20p end to a 5-15P or a 5-20P end? This may be more of a question for an electrician.

I would go with 5-20P (20 amp). It should work fine.
