Hi All

I want to fowarn that this isn't a prod environment, and just my homelab switch. Last night my WS-C2960S-24PD-L got fried by a lightning strike (all port lights flash for a second then off, then back on repeat), I know it's probably toast, lol, but I wanted to see if its a power supply fault or more serious.

I'm wondering if it is possible to power up the switch for testing off the RPS connector, using a benchtop power supply or alternatively from inside the switch?
Thanks

connect the console and see if you see any output - if nothing bin it.

RPS you can try - but home lab that is over engineering.

If you like to try - if you have same switch - you can replace PSU and test (your own risk)

if main board gone, then no point trying all that option.

Not sure you can raise TAC and ask for replacement here ?
