Problem with IOS

I'm having problems with IOS file (1700 series router), when i try boot the router with the new IOS appear this error:

*** System received a Software forced crash ***

signal= 0x17, code= 0x5, context= 0x0

PC = 0xbaddaddd, Vector = 0xbaddaddd, SP = 0xbaddaddd

how can i solv this?

You said that you had tried loading a new IOS - I assume the router was working well before, so the most likely cause of this error is corrupt IOS image.

You can try downloading a new IOS image from Cisco.com. You will probably have to load this new IOS from ROMMON mode on the router. Please refer here for a how-to:
