Problem with SF 100-24 Connected to FIOS M1424wr Version I
I am having problems with losing my internet connection on my "CAT5E-wired" home FIOS network configured using the FIOS Actiontec M1424wr Version I, router and a CISCO SF 100-24 switch. About every 4 or 5 days I loss my internet connection and have to cycle power to the router in order to restore service. The speed of my FIOS internet service is 25/25 and Speakeasy confirms 25/23 nearly consistently. Verizon is saying that the CISCO SF 100-24 switch is not compatible with the Actiontec M1424wr router. What could be causing this problem?
My home network is large. I have seven (7) windows computers with a mix of WinXP, Win7, and Vista OSs, two (2) remote wireless access points (I am not using the wireless capability of the router), and two (2) home theater appliances.
