Q: C2960 (Stack) + RPS message - what does it mean ?

Hi,

we have a stack of 3 x C2960. All 3 devices are using one normal power supply. For a second power connection
a RPS 2300 is used.

Looking at the status we see the following situation:

 2 Built-in Good
 3 Built-in Unavail

What does it mean ?

Are 2 switches using the RPS as main power device, and one switch the internal power supply ?

Or is something defect ?

I'm new and just started to configure the monitoring (using icinga2) and saw an error message.

Any help is welcome!

Bye, Peer

Hi,

It seems that way. In order to test it, you would have to disconnect the RPS from one of the switches (1 or 3) (in a maintenance window) and see if the built-in power supply work.
