I have a very basic question: if we specifed police CIR 800000 bit per second, does the number of bit/sec refers only to the bits include in the IP or in the Ethernet and IP portion of the packet.
In other words, should I expect a bit rate of 800000 bits/second or an higher bit rate from a show interface where a police CIR 800000 has been applied to this interface.
Note: I think that the show interface will report a throughput that include 14 bytes of layer 2 but not the preamble, interframe gap and CRD
