"kron" vs eem

What is the main difference between using Kron (policy lists) and EEM (script applets)?  Why is there both, etc? Wouldn't eem always do the job?

Kron is much more limited in what it can do than EEM. However Kron can be used to start an EEM applet I believe.

Kron cannot handle interactive commands. That is the biggeste difference.  I don't use kron much since EEM covers all the bases, pretty much.
