Re: VPN on SR520

What works on some SR520s does not work on a new one that I bought:

SR520(config-if)#interface Virtual-Template1

SR520(config-if)# ip unnumbered Dialer0

SR520(config-if)# ip nat inside

SR520(config-if)# ip virtual-reassembly

SR520(config-if)# zone-member security in-zone

% Interface is already member of zone in-zone

SR520(config-if)# peer default ip address pool pptp_pool

                           ^

% Invalid input detected at '^' marker.

SR520(config-if)# no keepalive

SR520(config-if)# ppp encrypt mppe auto

                           ^

% Invalid input detected at '^' marker.

SR520(config-if)# ppp authentication pap chap ms-chap

                           ^

% Invalid input detected at '^' marker.

NOTE: Carrets point to 'peer' and 'ppp'.
Am I missing something here?

Hi eljakimit,

Sorry for  the confusion regarding the SR520-FE.  It has come to my attention that  depending on which SR520 you have FE or T1 will determine which support  group can help you.  Since you have the SR520-FE you can get support by  Cisco TAC (Technical Assistance Center) instead of SBSC (Small Business  Support Center).  The SR520-T1 is supported by SBSC (Small Business Support Center).

Since  you have the SR520-FE I will move this thread into the correct area in  hopes that one of our Cisco experts can help you.  In the meantime, I  suggest you go here: http://tools.cisco.com/ServiceRequestTool/create/launch.do and login to start a TAC case.

Hi Cindy,

can you please send me the document where it specifies which

SR500 series routers do not qualify for SBSC?

It feels strange to us that some SR520 do qualify and others

donot.
