Recovery of a "failed" VDC

Hi all,

When a VDC is in the "failed" state, do you really need to physically reboot the whole device ??

This is mentioned in the ha-policy section of

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/switches/datacenter/sw/5_x/nx-os/virtual_device_context/command/reference/vdc_commands.html#wp1029495

See "

bringdown

Puts the VDC in a failed state. To recover from the failed state, you must reload the physical device.

"

Can't you restart or reinitialize a single VDC ?

regards,

Geert

I believe to reload a nondefault virtual device context (VDC), use the reload vdc command.

reload vdc "vdc Name"
