"Redistributing connected" is typically used when you want a routing protocol to advertise an interface's network without actually having to run the protocol on the interface. Is that correct?
If so, is there any other reason for wanting to redis connected?
Thanks

Joe,
Yes,it's correct. We sometimes don't want to run routing protocol on particular interfaces. So you can use redistributing connected to do so. As you may know, IGP use this command with route-map option to advertise networks of interfaces that IGP is running on.
