Hello everybody

This is an article about USB memory card in 6807-XL (with SUP6T-XL).

The symptom is that USB(disk0:) is not recognized in Rommon mode.
The USB has been confirmed to be recognized normally in the activated SUP.
Normal recognition can be seen as a USB that satisfies the conditions specified in the guide, such as the FAT32 format method and capacity.

However, USB is not properly recognized in rommon mode.

If any of you have experienced this, please let me know.

Cisco routers, switches and WLC are very finicky when it comes to 3rd party USB sticks.
Samsung Bar 16 Gb and Toshiba 16 Gb SA03 are two USB sticks that work for me.

NOTE:  Works with routers, switches and even WLC 3504.

Alternatively, the "original" Cisco-branded USB sticks will work:

  • N7K-USB-8GB (Nexus 7K USB Flash Memory, 8 Gb);
  • UCS-USBFLSHA-8GB (UCS C22/C24 USB Flash Memory, 8 Gb); and
  • UCS-USBFLSHB-16GB (UCS Server USB Flash Memory, 16 Gb)
