Renumbering 2960x stack Members

hello, is there a way to re-number the switch stack members without having to reconfigure the ports after the reload. I tried with the command  switch [current number]renumber [desired number] but that switched the ports config with it.

Ok reloading now after the renumbering. Will the config move with the renumbering now since cabling is correct?

If you have already renumbered and reloaded the switches, they should get the proper number has you planned.

Just to update you on this, the ports config didn’t move according to the renumbering we did. We had to re-configure the ports. What could be the issue there?
