REP limitation/consideration for the maximum supported switches in a ring.

Hello Experts

My deployment is as such that I need to connect upto 20 switches in a ring and I planning to run REP over them.

I am not able to get any document for  recommendation/consideration that has to be taken into account for having the quantity of switches in a ring running REP.

Not certain it's 100% germane, but http://literature.rockwellautomation.com/idc/groups/literature/documents/td/enet-td005_-en-p.pdf contains: "Tested and validated up to 24 switches per segment (not including distribution switches) "

Thank you Joseph for the link :)

Additionally do we have any document from Cisco speaking on the recommendations or considerations while we are having switches in larger rings running REP?

At the time of my original posting, I didn't find anything on Cisco's web site, so then I resorted to a generic Internet search and I didn't find much on the subject beyond what I referenced.

Possibly there's some additional RFC information, but I didn't check.
