restricting rip route adverts

I have just enable rip on a network layer 3 switch and it picked up routes I didnt want listed.

Is there a command to restrict routes being advertised

I think u can go ahead with passive-interface command under u r interface from which u dnot want routes to be advertised.

you can also use distribute list which is similar to access lists to block routing updates
