RMON VS STP

I have 2 switches, a  WS-C2960-24TC-L and a WS-C3750X-12S-S. These switches are connected to each other using 2 fiber connections. STP is not running on these switches and both interfaces, on both switches, are Up/Up. Basic LAN rules should apply and there should be a loop but there isn't. On the 2960, RMON is running and lists event, stats, etc. The 3750x does not have RMON running, at least it is not in the running config.

I don't understand how can this be!

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Do the two loops support a VLAN in common? If not, that would avoid a loop.

Yes, both trunks support the same VLAN

Then you should have a loop. What makes you believe you don't have one?
