route failover

hi! i'm trying to have a backup link thru ASA and a main link thru mpls in our branch office to connect to HQ. The ASA will only take over if the main link failed. there's sla configured at HQ. In this branch office, it's configured with having ospf with lower AD and a static route to corporate with higher AD.

I'm currently having some issue witht the tunnel back to corporate thru asa (mpls is ok), but that aside, i want to make sure the route logic is correct. If i shutdown the mpls line now, when i do a traceroute to corporate will the trace stop at the ASA interface in this case (ASA interface is active but the tunnel is still not up)? or the tunnel must be up for that to be happened?

thx.

Tunnel GRE or IPSec?

Is it GRE over IPSec ?

Are your GRE tunnels configured on the both branch office and HQ ?

Post your config on the forum.

Thanks
