Hi,

Could you please check in rommon if you do a dir flash: or a dir slot0: (where ever the image is) do youe see a forensics.log generated?

Then if you do a boot flash: or boot slot0: do you see the error messages?

Steps:
1.boot the device in ROMMON mode by pressing (ctrl+break seq) when you power on the device.
2.once in ROMMON prompt
rommon 1>dir flash:
and check if you see the image
3. rommon 2>boot flash: and hit enter ---see if you are still getting error message.

Regards,
Sonal

Hello Sonal,

Please note that the router is not accepting the ctrl+break command. Also note that the compact flash is worked on another router, which shows it is not faulty and the IOS is intact.

Hi,

Were you trying to upgrade IOS when you started facing this issue?

Sonal

No. I resumed work on Tuesday 20th September to discover that the router could not boot. You can see the error message in the attachment.
