Routing problem with Cisco 2960X

I'm searching for help for a problem that I have with a Cisco 2960X.

I have two networks (192.X.X.X and 172.X.X.X). By default, the Cisco have an address on the 192.X.X.X network and I would like to add a secondary IP address to communicate with a server on the network 172.X.X.X.

I did it. On the server I can reach the Cisco but from the cisco I can't reach the server.

Some computers have two address (one on both networks) and the Cisco can reach them on both adresses without problems.

So I don't understand why the Cisco can't reach computers/servers which have only one address on the network 172.X.X.X.

There are no restrictions on the server. If I put an address (172.X.X.X.) on a new computer, it can reaches the server.

Does anybody have an idea ?

Try enabling "ip routing" and test again.

secondary ip addresses, i strongly advise against it. is there a way you can add 2 VLANs? one for 192 and one for 172.x.x.x?
