RSTP operating mode

Hi all

I've one question about rstp operation mode and could you answer me 

We have a lot of equipment  and we have stp in our LAN,it is more than 20 cisco switch, my question is if in this network every devices work in rstp mode but one a couple of from them work in stp mode, Do all of them switch work in stp mode or there are rstp and stp same time?

Hi,

They will be in rstp and stp mode, but both protocols are compatible with each other.

only the port connect the stp switch will running stp,the others running RSTP
