RSTP timers

Hi,

I have few basic questions with RSTP.. 

1) What are the max age and Forward timers used in RSTP..?  

2) Are they used in pure RSTP domain or only in the case of Shared links and interop with traditional STP?

3) Does the port forward user data during the learning state of RSTP?  If NO, then how does it converge in sub second?

Please respond even if you are able to answer only some of them..

1. not used, RSTP doesn't have to rely on the timer values of STP ( forward delay and max age).

2. only in the case of  interop with traditional STP

3. keep learning state if not configured portfast for user data when connection failure
