Running config not auto copying to start config - 6500 with SUP720-3B
I have 4 sets of 6500’s each with single SUP720-3B modules, all with the same hardware, firmware and software versions (checked using ‘sh mod ver’).
I copy the startup, vlan.dat and crypto key files via tftp to the sup-bootflash and then copy the
startup from flash to startup-config
vlan.dat from flash to const_nvram
Three sets of 6500’s automatically copy their running configs on reload to startup. The fourth set of 6500’s that do not do this and the startup configs remains unchanged.
I have checked that the IOS & boot variables are identical.
The issue is that I have a ‘crypto key import’ statement at the end of all of the startup configs which requires manual intervention to accept the keys and this means that the fourth set of 6500’s require manual intervention on subsequent reloads which is a problem.
