Hi,

Is there a quick way I can find the latest Safe Harbour IOS ?

I.e.

For a cisco 6500 with 720-sup(3b) running ip advance services. I presume 122-18.SXF17b is safe harbour

Any help appreciated.

thank you

Latest?  SXJ3 is the latest IOS with "Safe Harbour" designation.

It's found in the download site.  Look for one with a tick at the end of the file.

Uhmmm,

don't see the tick.

but i do see that 12.2(33)SXJ4 is safe harbour

As an aside to your questions, I recall (?) GD and Safe Harbor designations once existed at the same time.

GD and Safe Harbor designations were, as are GD's replacement, MD, a little different in their significance.

My understanding is, Safe Harbor entails additional explicit testing, and the Safe Harbor designation is provided if the testing is passed.

The older GD or current MD designations are based more on actual usage, i.e. a particular version appears to be stable.
