Setting the number of invalid logon attempts on IOS

We're running Cat-2950 switches and MSFC's (release 12.1(13)E) and I ned to set the number of invalid logon attempts and password minimum length on those network devices. Have not been able to come up with any docs on it - can anybody please help?

Are you going to be authenticating with an authentication server (using aaa on the switch and MSFC) or are you going to be authenticating locally on the box? I do not believe that 12.1(13)E has support for minimum password length or number of invalid logon attempts.

I am not sure that it is available for the MSFC or the 2950 yet but Cisco introduced some enhancements in 12.3T to provide additional controls over the login controls on IOS devices. It does allow setting thresholds of failed logons, which is part of what you want. This link gives some information about this enhancement:
