Hi there,

I would like to setup RDP on my cisco router so I can access my server from outside my network. Could somebody please help me to do this?

I also have a router from my ISP that has DHCP for my external IP address and DHCP for my internal as well.

Thanks in advance!

If you can provide your routers configuration I can provide you with the commands that you would need to do this.

Thanks Elton.

Thanks anyways man! I think i figured it out  though.

Just be aware that the RDP port 3389 is very common for hackers to break into your network. Now that you have that port open on your router you can check you windows event logs and see people who are trying to access your machine.

One way around this would be setting your outside port to a random port. Something over 1024 and have that forward to port 3389 on your machine. Then you just tell your RDP client to use the new outside port and it will still work.

Let me know if you need help with this if interested.
