I’m wondering why the support for the SFP-10G-LR module is not listed anymore in the compatibility matrix (listed in November 2010, unlisted in December 2010). Does anybody know if SFP-10G-LR is supported on WS-X45-SUP7-E. In the SW release note for IOS XE 3.1.0 and in the cisco configurator the support is existing.

Hello Manuel,
Testing is still ongoing. Tentative ETA for support is March/April. No official date though. I believe the release notes were updated.

Fabienne is correct on this post. The latest is that we have just completed the test and we are supporting SFP+ LR optics on Sup7E and 4712 module now. This will reflect shortly on Cisco's Dynamic configuration tool and Compatibility matrix.
Please wait for a few dyas till this gets reflected.
Cheers,
