GLC-T is an twisted-pair/copper connection -> RJ45
Why would you expect different connector types?

Hello,
I've seen this document before but when I'm reading from EEPROM in GLC-T in the field with the address 0x02 there is value 0x0.
According to document this means that connector type is "Unknown or unspecified".
Is there any other field in EEPROM which will help findout is this SFP for copper or fiber wire?
I'm creating software on microconroller which has to findout what type of SFP is connected to him (copper or fiber).
Best regard

if you have an operational cisco switch to insert the sfp
you can try the command
sh idprom interface gix/y
it will display the formatted output and the raw eeprom data at the bottom ?

as you can this also displays "unknown" as connector type.
