SFP issue on C3850-48P with nm-4-10g

hello all,

i have c3850 that needs to be connected to 1G circuit.

Currently on c3850, nm-4-10g is installed. i'm using SFP, glc-lh-sm, ("1000BaseLX SFP") for the port.

Is that SFP compatible with network module that I have? or does NM-4-10g only supports 10g?

Currently it's plugged into te1/1/4

NAME: "Te1/1/4", DESCR: "1000BaseLX SFP"

Switch is recognizing SFP that i'm using and grabbing SN off of SFP as well.

I did no shut command to keep a port alive.

Is SFP compatible with network module? or does it require speed configuration?

when i plug in the fiber, no link is coming up, not even an amber light. it's a dead port.

C3850-NM-4-10G (four 10-Gigabit slots or four 1-Gigabit slots)

What is other side switch and sfp information. can you post show version and port-configuration to have look.

if possible default the interace config and config again and check, if the port unshut mode on multi mode you can see one side red laser glowing. ( do not look directly from your eyes, it is not recomended,)

if other side is ok, then you see same laser light on the fibre patch lead.

it's coming from the cross connect.

What firmware is the switch running on?

I had to speed nonegotiate
