Hey Guys,
I bought one of these unmanaged switches and it seems to have developed
an intermitent flashing amber light issue on one of the ports. The device was
recently purchased and described as new with no previous devices or current
devices plugged into the port in question.
Is this likely to be a hardware issue? Going to have to return it!
Thanks.

you need to check what device is connected to that port, and what negotiation is capable :
- if the left LED light is flashing amber and the right LED light is solid green - check the cables for a network loop.
- if the left LED light is solid amber and the right LED light is OFF - most probably you have PoE capable device attached, but there is no link anymore.

Thanks BB,
There is nothing plugged into this port with no history of any devices being plugged into this port.
It just starts to flash intermittently for no apparent reason. Weird...

that's very strange for sure if the device is not connected, check any new firmware available and upgrade.
if still an issue Raise SMB Tac case.

Thanks again BB,
I've checked the product home page and no firmware upgrades are available...

I'll raise a TAC ticket. Thanks for your help.

Hi Community,
I'm trying to contact Cisco for support.
The company that I purchased it from, https://www.comms-express.com, is telling me that I need to contact Cisco to determine what the problem is as this is apparently how Cisco prefers to handle issues now, not from the company that sold the device.
Please can someone tell me where I register for support as a retail customer?
I don't have a service contract or a business address.
Thank you.
